Non-Juicing Grocery List

Happy Wednesday!

I have had a lot of questions about what I eat when I'm not juicing.  In my previous blogs I've mentioned my digestive issues and my doctor has recommended that I stay away from certain foods.
No, No's for Me:
  • All Wheat, Barely & Rye Products
  • Dairy
  • Sugar
  • Minimal Red Meats
Well... That's pretty much impossible and very difficult to stick to therefore instead of eliminating those foods all together, I just try and eat them very minimally.  Also, I am not extremely adventurous when it comes to food (shocker.. I know) I unfortunately hate seafood and I don't enjoy eating lots of vegetables (one reason I love juicing... I can't taste them in juice) With that being said, there are definitely a lot more food items that you can add to this list, this is just my own personal food preference list.

My Grocery List

  • Eggs (I eat whole eggs... not egg whites)
  • Chicken (grilled, baked, or in the crock pot)
  • Turkey Breast
  • Ground Turkey (Lean)
  • Turkey Burgers
  • Turkey Bacon  (Nitrate-Free)
  • Nitrate-Free Lunch Meat (Hormel is a good brand)
  • Lentils (Beans)
  • Hummus (Good substitute for cheese on sandwiches)
  • Ezekiel Bread (They have Ezekiel tortillas and muffins as well)
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • All Natural Pop-Corn (Boom-Chica-Pop is my favorite brand)
  • Avocados
  • Tomatoes
  • Apples
  • All kinds of Berries
  • Steel-Cut Oatmeal
  • Quinoa
  • Salad (Homemade)
  • Feta Cheese
  • Olives (Black and Green)
  • All types of Nuts
  • Green Tea
  • Almond Milk  or Coconut Milk

This was such a hard concept for me to understand!  I had always been about the numbers,  the calories, and the carbs.  When I stopped counting calories and just simply starting eating healthy and paying attention to labels is when I saw the most results with my health and with my body!

 EXAMPLE WEEK:

Here is an example of what I am doing this week...

Breakfast: Juice

Morning Snack: Juice

Lunch: Ezekiel Bread Sandwich with Nitrate-Free lunch meat, hummus, tomato, and avocado with a light salad. (by light I mean no ranch dressing and croutons for example)

Afternoon Snack: Nuts or Greek Yogurt or all natural pop-corn (I try to only eat the pop corn a few times a week, its more of a treat than an everyday thing)

Dinner: Juice OR Chicken with Quinoa OR Eggs with Turkey Bacon OR Chicken Salad OR Turkey Burger wrapped in Lettuce with Sweet Potato Fries

I like to start my day with a juice because it makes me feel healthy and I feel like I am able to stay on track when I start off my day with a juice.  I usually try and juice for dinner.  I don't like to go to bed on a full stomach and I need the most energy in the afternoons rather than at night before bed.

Some other DONT'S to try and stay away from:
  • All over processed foods (white flour & sugar)
  • Chemically charge foods
  • Foods with preservatives
  • Artificial sugars
  • Artificial foods (ex: individually wrapped sliced cheese)
  • Saturated and Trans Fat
  • Sugar Loaded Beverages (Cokes, Gatorade, Energy Drinks)
  • Calorie dense foods (Diet Coke)

If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment =)

REMINDER:  I am no health expert, I am not majoring in health education, I do not have any type license.  I do not know what works for anyone other than myself however I do know that juicing has had a huge and positive impact on my life and I am happy to share what its done for me.  If you have questions I HIGHLY recommend consulting your doctor before trying anything I have shared.

A Little Q&A Time...

Happy Monday :)
I hope you were able to start kick your week with some new healthy juices!

I have received such a great response from everyone who has been reading the blog (Woo Hoo) !!!  I am loving the flood of messages I am getting everyday from everyone asking about juicing, how to juice, for advice, or simply just a message saying "You have inspired me and I am starting juicing tomorrow!" All which leads me to my next topic which is a little Q&A.  I'm sure a lot of you have some of the same questions so hopefully this helps!

1. Do I need to peel oranges?
The answer is yes.  All fruits and vegetables that have likewise peels need to be skinned before going through the juicer.  These types of peels will damage the strainer and you will not be able to use your juicer anymore (which after purchasing one is the last thing you want to do).  Fruits such as apples, cucumbers, and pears are perfectly fine to go through the juicer without being skinned prior to juicing.  There should be a list in your juicing manual that has a more detailed list of what can and cant go through the strainer.

2. Can I use frozen fruit?
You cannot use frozen fruit with your juicer.  The juicer will only liquidize fresh fruits.  Using frozen fruits can be damaging to the strainer.  Frozen fruits are something you would use for a smoothie when you are blending, not juicing

3. Do you buy pre-cut fruit?
My answer to this is sometimes I do, but I try to stay away from it.  If you have already started making juices then you know how time consuming it can be.  When I know I am going to have an extremely busy week, then I will buy pre-cut fruit and bagged Kale/Spinach just because it saves me some more time but I really try not to because it's more expensive.

4. Do you use juice as a meal replacement?
Typically I do.  When I first started to replace a few meals with juice, I didn't have any issues doing so.  I didn't feel like I was starving, weak, or deprived. (Everyone is different so listen and pay attention to how your body is feeling) When I replace a meal with juice I usually drink about 16oz but if I feel like I need more, Ill drink more! Juice can be made to complement a meal as well! You get so many more nutrients by drinking fresh, homemade juice that I highly recommend drinking at least one juice a day!

5.  Can I blend the recipes you post and will I physically get the same results as you if I blend instead of juice?

Ok, so to the first part of that question... Yes you can blend the recipes I post in a blender, however they wont taste the same as a juice made with a juicer.  I have tried the same exact recipe in my juicer and in a blender and they tasted VERY different! Also, the recipes I post are specifically for juicing therefore if you do decide to blend you will need a lot less produce.
As far as what your results will be by doing a "blending" detox, I am unsure.  During my journey to losing 20lbs I never once blended a smoothie, I only used a juice extractor.  I rarely blend anymore because I am pleased with how the juice taste, so now it's hard to go back to blending.  With that being said, there are a ton of benefits from blending and it's still a healthy alternative to most typical diets.

6.  Do I have to use one of those ridiculously expensive juicers?

Not at all!  I have a few friends who just recently purchased juicers from Wal-Mart that were under 50 dollars! I have tried these juicers out and the end product turns out the exact same.  The biggest difference I saw was the Breville Juicer (my juicer) has a 3" inch feed tube that's large enough for many whole fruits.  With the Black and Decker juicer you really have to cut up all of the fruit into pretty small pieces, but... it's a lot less expensive!  The Black and Decker juicer is a good "starter" juicer.

A few other differences between the two juicers are the Breville Juice extractor has 5 different speeds you can juice at, it has a special spout that separates the froth from the juice when pouring into your jars, the pitcher is bigger, and the trash bin is bigger as well.

Here is a picture of the Black and Decker Juice Extractor...

7.  What juicer do I use?
I use The Juice Fountain Multi-Speed Breville Juicer and here is a picture of that one...

8.  When the recipe calls  for pineapple, do you use the entire thing?
After cutting the rind off, yes you use the entire thing including the center.  It will go through the juicer!

 9.  Do you use organic fruit and vegetables?
I try to as much as possible.  I also like to buy my fruit and veggies from our farmers market to support local business! Buying organic is a little bit more expensive however when we are juicing and detoxing we are trying to "cleanse" our bodies of all the chemicals we usually put in them.  Non-Organic produced is typically filled with pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, additives, radiation, genetic modification, and preservatives all which are extremely harmful to our bodies.  If you have some free time one night I recommend sitting down and and reading in more detail about the list above.

10.  Is it better to make one juice at a time or several at a time?

It is always best to drink juice as fresh as possible.  When we are juicing we are breaking open the cell walls of the produce causing the produce to become very sensitive to air and light.  When the produce is exposed to air, it loses some of it's nutrients.  I wrote more in detail about this in my post titled "DETOXING"

11. I get SUPER hungry and I am afraid I wont be able to juice.
I as well have a huge appetite. I mean, like HUGE...When I drink my juices I am completely satisfied and feel full.  I never deprive myself... If I am hungry then I just drink more juice.  I never limit myself to a certain amount and I just try and stick to a ballpark range of 12-20oz.  Like I always say, start off slow! If you're afraid you'll get hungry then only try substituting breakfast for awhile and then try and replace other meals.

-------> If you want to read more about Juicing vs. Blending check out my post titled "The Facts".

Just a little reminder if you started a cleanse and it didn't last all day or maybe you started juicing and got frustrated... Your health is worth it! And if you are doing this to lose weight, don't give up just because you didn't see results after the first day(although I know we all hope, dream, and pray for that) This is something that will take TIME.  Time getting use to, time to adjust, and time to see change!

And I just wanted to share a few of the sweet messages I've received :)

"So I just bought a juicer and I have been reading your blog religiously and I love it! You have such a positive attitude that is so contagious haha I know that sounds cheesy but it's true!

"I just wanted to say you are an inspiration! I have read your blog and bought a juicer.. Im excited to start the juicing journey! Lol so thanks for being so detailed and motivating! Good luck with everything and thanks again for sharing!"

"Hi! I know you really don't know me, but wanted to tell you that my daughter and I are gonna start this juicing lifestyle! So excited! Her in Tempe me here in Albuquerque! Thanks for the recipes.. Will follow your blog! You are a beautiful young lady inside and out!"

"Just wanted to say your blog was super inspiring and I watched that documentary and I'm doing a juice fast for 30 days. I just completed my first day today. I feel great. Thank you for your blog."

Thank you all SO much for giving me something to be so excited about and proud of!
Stay tuned for my non-juicing grocery list later this week...
Well, Until Next time

Detox Day 2 & Day 3

Hola! Sorry I didn't post day 2 and day 3 immediately after day one.  I ended up leaving town unexpectedly but I am sure that after the weekend some of you are ready to start a three day cleanse on Monday!

Before I list all the recipes from the rest of my detox I just wanted to share a few personal reasons why I LOVE JUICING over all of the other "diets" I have tried!
  1. You NEVER have to count calories.  How awesome is that?! Counting calories has always felt like such a tedious task and I HATE feeling restricted... For example, like when you have had your calorie intake amount before 5:00 pm and then by the time 8 O'clock rolls around all you want to do is jump in your car and grab a cheeseburger! I never experienced anything like this when juicing because when I got hungry, I just drank more juice and its always so filling and satisfying!
  2.  You don't have to count or worry about carbs.  I was completely care free and never had to think twice about how many carbs I was eating because when I was juicing, the pounds were literally melting off my body.
  3. No crazy supplements, protein shakes, pre-workout, or other products.  I have done the whole "fitness competition" type of diet and let me just say... I hated it.  Did it work? Yes... but it was hard for me to stick to and it was nothing I wanted to continue doing after my compeition.  All of the supplements I had to take made me feel weird, protein shakes got disgusting to the point where I refuse to drink them anymore, I was carb depleted... I just did not feel like myself.  Not to mention all of that stuff was SO expensive and more importantly all of those products are LOADED with man-made chemicals that are so harmful to our bodies.
  4. Juicing Kicked my ridiculous sweet tooth!  Before I started juicing I had the biggest sweet tooth on the planet.  I loved candy, ice cream, cake, cookies... I could go on and on.  I would CRAVE these types of sweets constantly and when I allowed myself to indulge... I would pick sweets over anything else.  This is no longer the case and it's not because I "wont allow myself to eat that type of food anymore" I have had a few things like cookies and what not, and they simply do not taste the same or taste good anymore and I owe it all to juicing.  Juicing is so rich in flavor that nothing else compares! (Yes... I just said that juices taste better than cookies!)
  5. My hair grew like crazy... Like an insane amount! I have always had pretty damaged hair because I color it and I style it so frequently.  Whenever I go to get my hair done my hair dresser is usually always like "You should probably do some condition treatments at home because your hair is pretty damaged!" For the past few months all I have been hearing when I go to the salon is how healthy my hair is and I have even been asked what exactly I have been doing.  My hair is so much longer than it was before and it has never grown so fast! For the longest time I couldn't figure out why this was happening and then someone mentioned that it was probably from all of the vitamins and healthy nutrients I was getting from juicing which completely made sense!
  6. Minimal Exercise... Yep! You read that right! I walk and bike occasionally and I do Hot Yoga. (Which is minimal for me)  I didn't lift a single weight when getting down to 115 and I didn't do cardio every single day.  Prior to juicing I would torture myself in the gym.  This is a true testament to the saying "It's 20% gym and 80% diet" and "Abs are made in the Kitchen, not in the Gym."  I am a huge fan of working out and working out hard I just wanted to show that the gym was just a small part of my weight loss.

I know that juicing can seem expensive.  You have to buy a lot of fruits and veggies and when you are juicing it seems like you waste a lot of that food but the picture above is something to keep in mind.  We were not intended to eat foods that last until 2047 and the chemicals that preserve food for that long are so harmful to our bodies.
Ok... Lets get down to the fun part! When I am doing a "detox" or a "cleanse" I like to drink one 8-12oz juice every two hours from the moment I wake up, until the moment I lay down for bed.  I say this because I don't limit myself to 4 or 5 juices a day... I just continue to drink every two hours.  Also, there is nothing fancy behind the 8-12oz.  If I am feeling hungry I'll drink a 24oz juice if I feel like my body needs it.  The 8-12oz is just a ballpark range and typically what most recipes come out to be.  I can't stress enough that I do not limit myself.  The important part is to stay away from solid foods so if you need to drink a juice every hour to start off, by all means do it!  We are trying to rid our bodies of all the junk we are constantly filling it with and we are replacing it with natural nutrients and vitamins that will cleanse us from the inside out! Also, I like to drink a glass or bottle of water between juices to make sure I am flushing everything out of my system!

Alright, so here are 13 recipes I rotated between during my cleanse!

Detox Day 1

Starting my three day cleanse and detox today.  I feel so sick from eating junk food and binge eating after the pageant! This blog is going to be short and sweet. Just a quick look at what my "Day 1" looks like....

Morning: 1 8oz glass of water with lemon
Breakfast juice: Juiced with Breville Juicer...
  • Three Green Apples
  • 1" Ginger Root
  • 1 Cup of Kale
  • 1 Lemon
Mid Morning: (About one hour after first juice) 1 8oz glass of water

Snack: (About two hours after first juice) Juiced with Breville Juicer...
  • 1/2 cup of Green Grapes
  • 1/2 Pineapple
  •  1 cucumber
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 green apple
  • 1" Ginger Root
Lunch: (Two hours after previous juice) Juiced with Breville Juicer...
  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1 cup of strawberries
  • 1 pear
  • Mint leaves
Afternoon: (About one hour after juice) 1 8oz glass of water with lemon

Snack: (About two hours after previous juice) Juiced with Breville Juicer...
  • 2 Green Apples
  • 1 Cup of Kale
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 2 Celery sticks
  • 1" of Ginger Root
  • 2 Limes
Dinner:  (Two hours after previous juice) LARGE Glass of Water
  • 3 Green Apples
  • 1 Pear
  • 2 Lemons
  • 1 Cup of Kale
  • 2" of Ginger Root
If I get starving at any point I'll just make another juice.  I never limit myself to a certain amount of juice.  For me, it's more important to continue drinking juice rather than feel deprived and reach for food.  Sometimes in the beginning ill get a slight headache but that's from the toxins leaving my body.  When that starts to happen I reach for water rather than to medication and it usually stops! So far I am feeling SO great... It feels good to know I am cleaning out my body.

Stay tuned for day 2..... :)

Detoxing

If I can do it... You can do it!

Down 20lbs, 26 inches, and went from a size 4 to a size 0!

Happy Monday!

I hope you all are starting off your week healthy and productive!  I just got back into ABQ after being out of town for 11 days (and binge pageant eating on top of that) So I am very happy to be home and ready to reboot my system with a 3 day cleanse which I am going to talk about today!

I have received a lot of questions about preparing juice & letting it sit in the refrigerator so I am going to touch on that quickly....

There is nothing better than FRESH juice, there is no denying that!  When we are juicing, we are breaking down and exposing the cell walls of the produce (this is what makes juicing so AMAZING and it's where all the benefits come from!)  When the cell walls become exposed we are making the produce very sensitive to light, air, heat etc.  Therefore, for MAXIMUM benefits drinking juice right away is best.  I do not have time to whip out my juicer 5 times a day and make fresh juice for every meal so I prepare most of my juices in advance.  I have noticed that citrus type foods tend to last a lot longer than other produce such as an apple which brown quickly.  I like to add extra lemon to whatever juices I am storing as well.  If you are not drinking your juice immediately, I recommend putting it in the refrigerator ASAP.  I have heard of some people freezing their juices and then when they are ready to drink them a few days after preparing them, they take the juice out of the freezer and drink as soon as its thawed.  I personally have not tried this yet but it sounds like a fantastic idea.  I also recommend storing juice in mason jars because the seal is air tight and the glass is better than plastic(...my own personal opinion and preference)

I was reading some more about juicing today and I wanted to share with you all a list of Health Benefits from Juicing I came across that I felt really hit home with my own personal experience. Literally every bullet-point I was shaking my head and thinking, "Yep.. It does do that!"

Here it is!
  • Weight Loss
  • Immunity Booster
  • Better Digestion
  • Better Sleep
  • Decrease in Allergies
  • Balance in Skin Conditions
  • Healthier Hair
  • Improved Nail Strength
  • Decrease in Body Odor
  • Increase in Energy
  • Decrease in Medication
  • Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual Health

 3 DAY DETOX

Tomorrow I am starting a 3 day detox! After competing in Miss NM USA and being out of town for 11 days (and not caring what went into my mouth for the remainder of that trip) my body is SCREAMING for a detox.  And let me just say... the foods I thought I missed and had been fantasizing over for months were not nearly as "good" as I remembered them being and in fact I will drink juice over any of that yuck any day!!! Juice is SO delicious... I'm craving one as we speak!

So my idea of a "Detox" is drinking only juice for three days straight.  The BEST advice I can give is to start off SLOWWWWW!!!!! Try doing a juice detox for one day & then maybe a few days later try two days.  Just giving your body all those nutrients for a day will work wonders. It's an amazing feeling to start off slow and work your way to doing a full blown juicing detox but it's not a change that you or your body will like to make overnight. AND Unless you were blessed with taste buds that crave vegetables, do not try and make pure veggie juices with stuff you would never eat to begin with.  IT'S OK to use yummy produce with high carbs and/or sugar (OMG... did I just say ok to high carbs and sugar in one sentence?!) Yes... Yes I did! And if we're going to be really honest, I typically use WAY more fruits than vegetables on a daily basis when juicing and I lost 20 lbs and 26 inches doing just that.  So don't be afraid to try some delicious recipes that use mostly fruit! Your body will thank you regardless, and you will be wanting to frame the picture on your scale.  -never thought that would happen!

I typically like to drink one 16oz juice every two hours.  In between juices I like to drink 1/2-1 glass of water.  Water can be so boring so I like to jazz it up with some lemon, limes, strawberries, mint leaves, watermelon, cucumber, pineapple, or oranges.  If I am STARVING at any point of the day, I'll just drink another juice... I mean you're going all liquid for crying out loud... it's not going to hurt if you have an extra 16oz juice of FRESH, NATURAL produce.

Picture of the water that you would prepare the night before..

Starting tomorrow I will be posting about my detox, how I feel, and what it's doing to my body.  I look forward to sharing about how it's going!

Looking forward to writing my next post already ;)
Hope you all enjoyed this one and if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment!

The Facts

The Facts

Happy Thursday Everyone!

I hope you all have enjoyed the first week of the NEW YEAR!  I have received so many encouraging messages after my first blog and let me just say… I am so excited!  If you leave a comment or message I promise I will get back to you.

So first… What kind of juicer do I use?  I use The Juicer Fountain Multi-Speed Breville Juicer.  It was around $200.00 from Bed Bath and Beyond (that's without the 20% off coupon).  I know it’s pretty pricey however this is an investment for your health, which I believe you cannot put a price on.  There are several different types of juicers out there and I am sure they all work fantastic as well.  My grandma owns a Jack LaLanne Juicer and LOVES it!  Her juicer was originally $99.00 on sale for $79.00 and then she also used a 20% off coupon from Bed Bath and Beyond.   Make sure and print the 20% off coupon from Bed Bath and Beyond if you decide to go out and purchase a juicer.  They also sell juicers at Wal-Mart.

Here is a picture of mine..

There is huge difference between Juicing and Blending.  The first difference being the taste...  Blending fruits and veggies tends to be extremely thick in texture and in my opinion (in comparison to juicing) the taste of a "Smoothie" is dull.  When you are juicing fruits and vegetables you are extracting the juice from the natural ingredients producing a rich flavor.  When you are blending, you are using the entire fruit and/or veggie.  Juicing requires very minimal digestion and although I am no health expert... I know that giving my digestive system a break is something my body desperately needed!  I have digestive problems... just breaking down the peel of an apple is hard on my stomach which is why juicing is better for me than blending.  Smoothies are very high in fiber which is an amazing health benefit however for me, high fiber meals cause me to bloat, can cause gas, and gives me really bad stomach aches... mostly because I have digestive issues.  For most people incorporating high fiber smoothies into your everyday diet is something that would be extremely beneficial.  Also, prior to my lifestyle change I did not eat anywhere close to the amount of vegetables and fruits that are recommended daily.  I probably did not even consume half of that amount.  Juicing provides me away to increase my intake of fruits and vegetables.

Would you eat all of this in one sitting?... Or even one day? I know I wouldn't!

Like I said earlier, I am no health expert.  I am just simply sharing what worked for me.  After trying just about every diet out there (Seriously... Every single diet) I finally found something that worked for me, something I love, something I feel is easy to maintain, and most importantly something that makes me feel so great on the inside.  I started off drinking one fresh juice a day and then slowly started to add more juices into my diet.  After I went on a vacation I felt so gross from all of the poor food choices I had made and decided to try a cleanse.  I juiced for 3 days and felt SO GREAT.   I started doing more research on what was safe and then I started incorporating more juicing into my everyday diet.  I also watched the "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" Documentary and was so inspired by Joe to continue my juicing cleanse. I have found that for me personally it is important that I juice for breakfast and dinner.  My biggest meal has to be lunch, that's just the way my body works.

Is the juice to lose weight?  My answer to that is NO... Juicing should be used first and foremost to live a healthier lifestyle.  If you hate cucumbers and never eat them, juicing provides a way to mask that taste with other delicious fruits and veggies.  When juicing you are able to eat fruits and vegetables you would never want to eat or maybe even try.  As humans, we were intended to eat the natural foods we are naturally provided! Unfortunately, we live in time where all natural foods are almost a thing of the past.  We should be eating "Clean" 98% of the time and occasionally enjoying a precooked meal out instead of the other way around.  Even the juices they sell at most health food stores are loaded with preservatives.  It's so important to be careful when grocery shopping!  The best way to ensure all natural and fresh ingredients is to make your own juice ;)

What I typically do when preparing for the week is make a ton of juices on SUNDAY and then again on WEDNESDAY (I prepare two days a week so that the juices stay fresh)  I make enough for three juices a day (Breakfast, Morning or Afternoon Snack, and Dinner) and I keep them in Mason Jars. (Picture Above)

Today's recipe is SO DELICIOUS! It taste like liquid candy... this is a good juice to start off with because its sweet.

  • 2 Green Apples
  • 1/2 Pineapple
  • Mint Leaves
  • Lemon
  • Kale (Optional) I like to add Kale so there's some green in there :)
Enjoy!!!

Welcome!

After competing in the Miss New Mexico USA pageant this past weekend, I have received a ton of messages asking about juicing and which plan I am on.  I never thought I would have messages in my inbox saying, "You have inspired me to start juicing and it is totally changing my physical fitness life!"  ...What?! Was that really in MY inbox?!  I am completely humbled by all of the support and totally inspired to share my "Juicing Journey" with you all.

I have ALWAYS wanted to start blog and have finally found my niche (woo hoo!)  And so it begins :) I will be sharing my success story with you all, my current journey with juicing, what personal barriers I have broken, what juicing can do for you,  all of the health benefits you receive from juicing, why it's EASY, how you can prepare your juice, and most importantly my all time FAV recipes! Juicing has completely changed my life and I will forever be grateful that during my journey to Miss New Mexico USA I came across a lifestyle that rebooted my health, improved my overall physical fitness, and something that I can actually maintain and ENJOY!

Excited to share more about juicing with you all later this week! If you are super excited and want to jump start those new year's resolutions with juicing I recommend watching the "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" documentary.  You can rent and or buy the documentary on iTunes.  Also, for those of you living in Albuquerque the DVD is sold at Squeezed Juice Bar off of Paseo Del Norte and San Pedro.  The address is 7900 San Pedro Dr NE #12 Albuquerque, NM.

& real quick... Here is my current all time FAVORITE recipe! (Juiced with a Breville Juicer)

Green Detox Juice
  • 5 stalks of Kale
  • 3 Apples
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 Cucumber
  • Ginger Root (Ginger is strong so I recommend starting with a small amount and then add more depending on your personal preference)

I cannot WAIT to share more about juicing with you all but for now I'm off to enjoy a few more guilt-free snacks while watching the Pretty Little Liars marathon ;)

Until next time...

XOXO
